Updates Regarding the CDC Import Permit Program

Updates Regarding the CDC Import Permit Program
Dear U-M Research Community, The current CDC eIPP platform for import permit applications is being phased out over the next month.
  • New applications will no longer be accepted through eIPP as of January 20, 2026.
  • In-progress applications will no longer be editable as of February 20, 2026.
  • All existing permit materials currently housed in the eIPP system will remain accessible until February 2027, after which they will no longer be available.
The CDC is launching its new BioPermit system concurrently with the phase-out of eIPP. The CDC will be hosting information sessions on using the new BioPermit system. Dates and links to register for these free info sessions can be found below: Additional information regarding the CDC Import Permit Program may be found at: https://www.cdc.gov/import-permit-program/php/index.html Please feel free to forward this information to any University of Michigan colleagues for whom this update may be relevant.
