COVID-19 BUILDING SIGNAGE GUIDELINE

The following COVID-19 building signage program has been created in response to the university’s COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan for On-campus Employees during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Both Primary and Secondary Signage programs have been developed to ensure signage needs are met while also providing flexibility to meet some individual building needs. Primary signs are expected to meet each building’s signage needs in alignment with the university’s COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan. Secondary signs are only to be used in unique circumstances on a case-by-case basis. This site includes information regarding the proper placement of the signage throughout campus buildings, and will be updated as graphics get adjusted in response to new information about the virus, its transmission, and its impacts. Ordering Information

Both the Primary and Secondary Signage is being provided to Ann Arbor campus academic and administrative units at no cost to the unit. The costs will be allocated to a central account. However, a departmental shortcode is still required with your COVID-19 Signage requests. If you are not an Ann Arbor campus academic and administrative unit, your shortcode will be charged directly for the products.

Due to the high demand and short turn-around times for the signage, we ask that you please limit your orders to that which is required now—ordering excess signage will only serve to extend the lead times. If you find yourself needing additional quantities after your initial order, please simply place a follow-up request. Both the Print Copy Mail and AEC Sign Shop are continuously replenishing inventory and filling orders as required.

Please submit insert requests to PrintCopyMail through MiPrintOrder.  Please complete a cart for all of the inserts needed and be sure to add clear vinyl self-adhesive insert holders as needed.  The approximate lead time for filling orders is 2-3 days for Primary Signage and Secondary Signage. Your signage will be delivered to the location you designate in your order. All COVID-19 inserts are produced on premium 80# coated cover stock with available clear vinyl self-adhesive sleeves for interior wall or window mounting.

Please submit decal and large format sign requests to the AEC Sign Shop on a Non General Fund Work Request. Please provide specific product item descriptions and quantities required. Any background information for your intended application is also helpful. The approximate lead time for filling orders is 3-5 days for Primary Signage and 5-7 days for Secondary Signage. Your signage will be delivered to the location you designate in your work order. All COVID-19 decals are produced with premium pressure sensitive removable vinyl with a protective anti-slip overlaminate suitable for all applications.

Primary Signage

The Primary Signage program is expected to meet each building’s signage needs in alignment with the university’s COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan. Below is an overview of the program with guidelines intended to assist with proper placement throughout buildings in order to consistently reinforce messaging across campus.
